Ministry Update

Preparations for the Community Lighthouse Bible Distribution Project in the Houston area, are going well. Currently, we have three churches on board as point churches for their areas, and we are discussing the possibilities of adding two more in the initial effort. We will also be targeting an area of the city where I currently conduct after school programs. We are up to six zip codes, totaling approximately 150,000 households.

Please continue to pray for this effort. I believe that this is the beginning of a tremendous move of God in the Houston area, that will be a catalyst for bringing this project to other cities around this country and abroad. Pray specifically for the Lord to prepare the hearts of those who will receive the Bibles, for more workers in the harvest fields, and financial resources to carry out this awesome vision.

I am currently conducting the Achievement Club program at Lyons Elementary School with 110 fourth grade students. They are excited about being involved and working toward their points prizes. For those who are not familiar with the Achievement Club, it is a weekly teaching time which discusses the dangers of drugs, alcohol and gangs. The students earn points by turning in projects and essays. The student in each school with the most points receives a $100 savings bond. Other students receive assorted prizes, gift cards and field trip opportunities as a reward for their effort. Over the past 14 years, the Achievement Club has allowed us to meet families in our community that we are later able to minister to. It has been a great blessing to thousands of people over the years. Please pray that this door of opportunity remains open to us in our local public schools.

For those of you in the Houston area, this Saturday, April 12th is our next Evangelism Training and Networking Meeting. I will be conducting the first training session for the Bible Distribution Project. For more information and to RSVP for this meeting, please go to the link below.

RSVP For the Upcoming Evangelism Training Meeting in Houston, Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 10 a.m. - Noon

The meeting is this weekend, April 12th and will feature testimonies from group members who have given away Bibles and led people to the Lord.

We are also going to begin the training process for the beginning of our Bible Distribution Project. Currently, there are three churches committed to being the point churches for their zip codes, Lindale Assembly, Emerge Church, and Imperial Valley Assembly of God. We will also begin to distribute Bibles in the 77076 zip code, which is where I conduct school programs.

There are also two other churches in the Pasadena, Texas area and the Katy, Texas area that have expressed an interest in participating.

This is going to be an exciting time of fellowship and learning.
