New year 2009
2008 has come and gone. What a year in retrospect!

As with every year, there have been times of rejoicing and times of sorrow, times of victory and times of frustration and seeming defeat.

During my prayer time this morning, God brought to mind Deuteronomy 8:1. I'd like to share this thought with you as we enter a new year. "Every commandment I command you today, you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers."

Even though this was directed at the people of Israel, I believe that it applies to us today as well. In order to succeed at what God has called us to do, Win Souls and Make Disciples, we must be careful to submit ourselves to God, and obey His directives. Take nothing for granted. Do not rely on your own understanding, but seek the Lord for direction in every decision, every day, all day!!

I would like to encourage you to devote yourself to more prayer this coming year. Begin and end each day in prayer. It is the key to walking daily with the Lord and seeing His purposes carried out in your life.

My friend, Linda Demjen, from "A Cup of Cold Water Ministries", has written some wonderful prayer devotions that I would like to share with you. Next week, I'll send you an email to let you know how you can subscribe to our new weekly prayer devotion.

I would also like to hear from all of you as well. If you have prayer devotion ideas or things that God has laid on your heart that you would like to share with us, please send them to us. I have been personally blessed by those of you who have shared with me through personal email over the past year.

I would like to be of better service to you and your churches over the coming year. I will be traveling this year to conduct evangelism training workshops and Connections Ministry Training. If I can be of service to your church, especially those in the United States, please let me know.

For my Pastor friends in other countries, I am working on more training materials that you can access over the internet to help you reach the lost. I appreciate your invitations to come to your countries. I would love to come and work with you. Let us continue to pray for God's provision for this to become a reality.

Have a wonderful New Year celebration! We are getting closer to seeing the Lord face to face every day! Look up, for you redemption draws near!!
