After School Programs Work For Reaching Children and Families

Many families are looking for healthy, positive after school activities for their children, particularly families with both mom and dad working, or single parent households.

Over the past several years, I have personally been able to reach hundreds of children and their families through this method of outreach.

Start by contacting the principal or counselor from the school nearest you. Ask them what kind of programs already exist. Then, ask what types of programs they would like to have, that are not currently on the schedule.

Don't go in asserting your rights. Go with a servant attitude. Remember, you are trying to be of service to them and the community. This will give you plenty of open opportunities to share the Gospel.

Personally, I have conducted after school Bible clubs, Sidewalk Sunday Schools, Outdoor Clubs, and music programs.

Some of them have the Bible lessons built into the program, others do not.

But the result is always the same.

I always have opportunities to meet people that I otherwise would have never made contact with. Those opportunities have always been positive ones. I have built ongoing relationships with administrators, teachers, students and parents.

Because of my presence in the community, I am able to invite them to other events where the Gospel is being shared.

I have also had the privilege of being able to counsel and pray over many issues and have seen God work in the lives of thousands of people over the years.

This is one of the most effective evangelism methods that I have personally ever been involved with.

I am available to help in training for and organizing this type of community outreach for your church. I have quite a few other ideas and resources to help in this area.

Please contact me if I can help you with developing After School Programs for your community.
